In 1898, Swiss hotelier César Ritz partnered with French chef Auguste Escoffier to open what soon became known as one of the most luxurious hotels in the world. Over the decades, the Ritz became a favorite of everyone from kings and queens to Marcel Proust and Coco Chanel.
Steeped in cultural history, several of its suites are named in honour of famous guests of the hotel including: Coco Chanel while the cocktail lounge pays tribute to writer, Ernest Hemingway.
