Born in Lyon, Cédric has gastronomy in his DNA. He has called Marseille home for the past 29 years, after first visiting on holiday and meeting the woman who would later become his wife.
His passion for travel began at the age of 14 during a family trip to Africa. Curious by nature, he is fascinated by China and Japan, as well as history, philosophy, rap music, mechanical sports and the animal world. Originally a nurse, a profession he dedicated 13 years to, he made the leap into tourism fifteen years ago following an accident, driven by his passion for discovering the world and sharing it with others.
It’s a tough call. Lyon is my hometown, and I think I’ll always be Lyonnais at heart — especially when it comes to gastronomy. It’s part of who I am. Most of my closest friends are still part of that world.
But Marseille has been my home for many years, and I love its lifestyle — the Mediterranean light, the sea breeze, the way the city lives at its own rhythm. If I had to define myself, though, I’d say I feel more like a citizen of the world. I’ve always been fascinated by human history, by civilizations — it makes you realize how much we all share.
