After spending two years travelling across Australia and Southeast Asia, I came to realize that France has nothing to envy from anywhere else in the world. Experiencing so many extraordinary destinations made me appreciate even more the richness of my own country—its remarkable diversity, exceptional gastronomy, centuries of heritage, and breathtaking landscapes. It inspired me to dedicate my career to sharing the very best of France with discerning travellers.

If I had to choose just one destination, it would undoubtedly be Marseille and its spectacular Mediterranean coastline.

Few places capture the essence of Southern France quite like Marseille. Vibrant yet authentic, cosmopolitan yet deeply rooted in tradition, the city offers a fascinating blend of history, culture, gastronomy, and seaside living.

I love the contrast between wandering through the colourful streets of Le Panier, discovering lively food markets and contemporary art galleries, before escaping just minutes later to the spectacular limestone cliffs and turquoise waters of the Calanques National Park.

Marseille is a destination that constantly surprises. A morning can begin with freshly baked pastries overlooking the Old Port, continue with a private boat cruise through hidden coves accessible only from the sea, and end with sunset aperitifs overlooking the Mediterranean.

For me, Marseille perfectly embodies the French art de vivre: relaxed, vibrant, elegant, and wonderfully authentic.

One place I never miss recommending is the charming fishing village of Les Goudes, tucked away at the southern edge of Marseille.

Although only a short drive from the city centre, it feels wonderfully removed from the bustle of everyday life. Traditional fishing boats gently sway in the harbour, the Mediterranean stretches endlessly beyond the cliffs, and time seems to slow down.

It’s the perfect place for a long seaside lunch, a swim in crystal-clear waters, or simply an afternoon embracing the relaxed rhythm of the South of France. Often overlooked by first-time visitors, Les Goudes offers an authentic glimpse of Marseille at its most elegant and understated.

It’s exactly the kind of place that reminds you luxury isn’t always about extravagance—sometimes it’s simply about being somewhere truly special.
