Travel Designer

I’m Marissa, and I have been living in Aix-en-Provence since 2012, where I completed my secondary education before earning a BTS in Tourism. Passionate about the travel industry, I completed several internships with travel agencies before starting my professional career in tourism in 2016.

In 2019, I discovered my true vocation when I joined the world of DMCs (Destination Management Companies).

Travel has always been an important part of my life. Having had the opportunity to travel with my family from a young age, I developed a passion for discovering new places and cultures, which naturally led me to a career in tourism.

I am passionate about designing tailor-made itineraries and continuing to craft meaningful travel experiences that create memorable moments for our clients and allow them to discover the richness and beauty of our wonderful country, France.

I would describe myself as a workaholic, as I am deeply committed to my work and always fully invested in what I do.

Favorite Regions in France

My favorite regions in France are Normandy and Paris.

I love Normandy because it is a region rich in history, from the medieval heritage of Rouen and Bayeux to the D-Day Landing Beaches, which played a pivotal role in World War II. Beyond its historical significance, Normandy also offers stunning landscapes, charming villages, dramatic cliffs such as Étretat, and a beautiful coastline that make it one of the most diverse and captivating regions in France.

Paris holds also a special place in my heart for its unique atmosphere, world-famous landmarks, exceptional museums, and vibrant culture. Whether strolling through its historic neighborhoods, admiring its architecture, or discovering its culinary scene, there is always something new to experience in the French capital.

Hidden Gem

In Normandy, a place I particularly appreciate is the village of Beuvron-en-Auge.

Less well known than the major Norman destinations, it nonetheless embodies the full authenticity of the Pays d’Auge, with its half-timbered houses, charming flower-filled squares, and timeless atmosphere.

It is an ideal destination for travelers seeking charm, tranquility, and well-preserved heritage, away from the most frequented tourist routes.

My Perfect Day

My working days always start with checking my professional emails in order to get an overview of the priorities and organize my day accordingly.

I then enjoy a quiet breakfast, often accompanied by the sunrise over the Sainte-Victoire mountain and my three cats, which gives me a calm moment before starting work.

Once at the office, I review my agenda, which I prepare the day before, and update it by adding the tasks and files to be handled based on my morning emails.

At the end of the day, I organize the schedule for the following day to ensure smooth follow-up on all ongoing projects. After work, I enjoy a walk along the Cours Mirabeau or having a drink with my colleagues.

In the evening, I often watch documentaries, especially about the history of our country, which is a topic I am passionate about. Before going to bed, I always check my emails one last time.

During my holidays, I like to alternate between shopping, walks, and discovering regions, always favoring local and authentic expériences.
