This 1950s boutique hotel retains its authentic character combined with gastronomic cuisine and modern amenities on the sea in mythic St Tropez.
Hôtel La Ponche is a 5-star property in the heart of the village of Saint-Tropez featuring 21 authentic and refined rooms and 3 apartments with striking views are over the bay of Saint-Tropez.
At the piano bar, where Boris Vian’s trumpet and Bardot’s laughter resounded, people dance to the rhythm of French songs. The Provençal restaurant, with a Mediterranean touch, extends from the terrace to the sea.
From the pontoon you can enjoy the cove of La Ponche. An enchanting setting to let go, meditate, practice yoga in the Spa, before reconnecting to the energy of Saint-Tropez.
The restaurant, designed by Chef Thomas Danigo, offers an original and inventive cuisine inspired by the South of France. Authentic dishes, thanks to a rigorous sourcing from the best local producers. The terrace, adjacent to the sea, is lulled by the lapping of the cinematic New Wave. As for the bar, its history goes back to 1949. Boris Vian annexed an adjoining barn to create the piano bar, Saint-Germain-des-Prés-La Ponche. Years later, Roger Vadim set the scene for the film, And God Created Woman.
The rooms, renovated with the hotel by Fabrizio Casiraghi, have kept their simplicity and their incredible charm. From the windows or from the terraces and balconies, the picture is natural: the sea below, the sails in the distance, the pink tile paths tracing the village streets. Perfect for staying with both family and friends.
